I realize this thread hasn't been bumped in a while, but I visited this site a while back, before Tomorrow's Harvest was released. When I did, I noticed something immediately.
However, I met the misfortune of my computer dying on me soon after, and I eventually forgot about my discovery and never got around to posting it. So, here goes.

"
Frontline
Net
Observation
Research &
Development"
stands for the term "Fnord".
This is a term from geek culture which functions more or less like the "</s>" or "/s" irony punctuation, used to indicate that someone is being sarcastic or joking.
I believe there is little debate that this was done intentionally, and as a hint that this website should be taken with a grain of salt. However, as it stands, it's hardly a website...just an index.html page and a single image.
Faced with this mysterious lack of direction, I poked around as much as I could, but found nothing:
- There isn't anything revealing in the source code, which several alternate reality game websites have hidden information in.
- The images directory has access to it blocked.
- Despite the sole image on the page being labelled as "ncd3.jpg", attempts at visiting ncd2, ncd1, or ncd0.jpg proved fruitless.
- ncd3.jpg doesn't have anything lurking in terms of EXIF info or other metadata.
I haven't trawled through the surprising number of pages that this Twoism thread has amounted to,
but I certainly shall, as I'm scratching my head over what led any fans to even consider this website
as connected to Boards of Canada in the first place.
