I still wish this had actually come out, and now I forget why it didn't... Or did it?

First spin through and I'm liking it. Definitely deserves more listens to get the full impression.

Was flying from the States to Europe, and I had Austin Texas Mental Hospital Part 3 on loop, looking out the window. It was sundown over the east coast/west atlantic, and the clouds were golden, then purple, then grey like starlight, and everything felt so intimate. A cliche, but I felt connected to everything. Like hey clouds, we're going east together. Hey plane, thanks for carrying me where I need to go. I thought about things, big things happening in my life, and they felt so small and far away.
It's very very hard to describe succinctly but it was special and transcendental and changed my perception a bit. Tired Sounds used to sound hot and blinding to me, now it's crisp and cool, so far but feeling so close, next to the Van Allen belts.
I do the same with this album. It’s basically a therapy session. Opens me up, lets me breathe, then ties everything up for me nicely.Mexicola wrote:At this point Tired Sounds is, by some distance, my most played album by anyone ever. It's become like a comfort blanket. A harbour.
